She doesn't look like a welder.
Heather Inwood-Montrose is like the art she creates, both delicate and lovely.
A metal artist from Bancroft, Inwood-Montrose came to Haliburton on May 25 for the opening reception of her exhibit Metaluxe, on display at Rails End Gallery.
A welder by trade for the past 15 years, Inwood-Montrose currently works out of her studio and sculpture garden in Bancroft, where she finds inspiration for her whimsical art in the natural landscape around her.
Metaluxe includes nature-themed creations, such as birds and insects, about to take flight from the walls of the gallery.
A teacher at Loyalist College in Belleville, Inwood-Montrose also creates custom work in her studio, such as railings.
Metaluxe is on until July 4. For more information visit www.railsendgallery.com.
