Bancroft peewee Jets girls soar past Ennismore

November 25, 2015

The Leveque Brothers/Rock Breaker peewee Girls travelled to Lakefield  Saturday  to take on the Ennismore Eagles.
With this being their only game of the weekend, the girls came out strong from the first face-off.
The first period opened up the scoring with beautiful passes from Beth Brownlee and Olivia Villamere to get the puck to Emma Tidey. Another goal in the first from Hannah McMann assisted by Brownlee got the Jets’ momentum rolling.
With fierce determination and continuous pressure in the second period, Emma Neuman got back-to-back goals assisted by Chloe Billings, Jaylin Frost, and Ava Smith.
McMann and Charity Trotter assisted Frost and she was able to get yet another past the Eagles’ goalie.
Neuman then rounded out her first career hat trick when Billings and Brownlee set her up in front of the net.
Elyse Ives slid the final goal of the second period in with the assist going to Tidey.
The Jets came out in the third period with strong defensive and offensive plays. Brownlee finished up the scoring, assists going to McMann and Tidey.
With a final score of 8-0, the girls played a confident game displaying patience, and wise choices when it came to passing or skating with the puck.
The peewee Jets will be back in Haliburton on  Saturday Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. taking on the Peterborough Ice Kats, and again on  Sunday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. against the Ennismore Eagles.
