Peewee Jets win over Frontenac 6-1

The Vito’s Pizzeria Peewee Jets travelled to Frontenac Friday Jan. 15 for the second game in this series. The first period was tense for the first 10 minutes with the puck back and forth to both zones.
With five minutes on the clock the Flyers take a penalty allowing Ryker Huygens to put in the first goal for the Jets assisted by Cody Switzer and Connor Sobry.
Frontenac came out flying in the second period sneaking one in past Ben Landry in net early in the period, and managed another power play goal with two minutes left on the clock.
Period three was an unassisted goal by Owen Fergusson, tying up the game putting us into a 10-minute overtime. Neither team was able to pull off a goal resulting in a 2-2-tie game.
The third game of the series was brought back home Saturday afternoon.
Winger Gavin Plunkett started out the Jets first period scoring frenzy with an early goal assisted by Colson West and Owen Fergusson. Plunkett wound up again less than four minutes later firing another one into the back of the Flyers net, assisted by Desi Davies and Colson West.
Colson Jenkins puts in the last of the period assisted by Owen Fergusson and Keegan Anderson, giving us a three-goal lead going into the second.
Frontenac managed an early goal against Phillip Cannon in goal for the Jets but the fast moving Desi Davies flew up the ice putting another on the scoreboard for the Jets assisted by defence Tanner Potts.
It was intense hockey for the first five minutes of the third period, with end-to-end action.
Colson West put in the fifth goal for this game assisted by Gavin Plunkett and Owen Fergusson. Colson Jenkins puts in his second of game, leaving the Jets with a 6-1 win over Frontenac.
The fourth game of this series takes place Thursday night in Frontenac. Go Jets Go!
