Bancroft T-Hawks lose to Quinte Saints

May 19, 2016

The Bancroft Taxi T-Hawks minor football team travelled to Belleville on Thursday night to take on the Quinte Saints for their second game of the year. The Saints kicked off to us to start the game and their defense forced us to punt. They then took the ball and drove down the field  to score a touchdown. That set the tone for the rest of the game as the Saints went on to win by a score of 35-0.
Our team has a lot of very good athletes, and  put up  a good effort, but the Saints were determined and very fast. Our defence worked hard and forced the Saints’ offence to work hard for most of the game, but in the end they couldn’t stop them from scoring touchdowns. Noah Olmstead, Sam Rumleski, Brandon Marois, and Desi Davies played very strong games.
The offence had to work hard and made several good drives down the field, only to come up short of the goal line.   Our player of the game, Angus Woodcock had a great game running and throwing the football while Gage Green, Marcus Flury,  Thomas Switzer, Brandon Hall, and Colson West made strong contributions.
Our next game is Thursday night at home at 6:30 at NHHS. We hope to see you there to help support our team.
