T-Hawks play last game of season

June 9, 2016

On Saturday, June 4, the Brinklows Bancroft Taxi T-Hawks played their last home game of the season.

The Campbellford Titans were the opponents for the day. The Titans came to town having recently beaten one of the top teams in the league, so we knew we were in for a tough game.

We chose to receive the opening kickoff, however in the feeling out process of the first possession wewere forced to punt. The Titans were able to push the ball down the field and score a touchdown and a two-point conversion.

In the second quarter Thomas Switzer scored on a long touchdown run but we missed the conversion. The Titans scored again before Ethan Phillips made a great sweep for a touchdown and Gage Green kicked the convert. The Titans got into the end zone again but Gage Green scored a touchdown catching a great pass from Angus Woodcock. Campbellford added one more to make the final score 30-20.

It was a wonderful game and very entertaining to the hundreds of people in attendance.

Sam Rumleski was chosen as the player of the game for his fine defensive play.

We play again in Belleville  on Friday  night at  7:30  at Mary Ann Sills field.
