All-candidates meeting set for May 28 in Bancroft

May 16, 2014

With the upcoming provincial election only a matter of weeks away on June 12, the North Hastings Economic Development Committee (NHEDC) in partnership with the Bancroft & District Chamber of Commerce, are organizing an “All Candidates Meeting”  for the residents of North Hastings to hear and ask questions of the candidates.

Paul Jenkins, chairperson for the NHEDC sees this event as “an opportunity to hear candidate views on regional economic development issues in North Hastings”.  The province plays a pivotal role in our regional economy.

Greg Webb, General Manager of the Bancroft & District Chamber of Commerce/Destination Marketing Organization says, “This is a great opportunity for those involved in tourism and small business to meet the candidates and learn where they stand on different issues before casting their vote on June 12.”

The All Candidates Meetings will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at the Bridge Community Church in Birds Creek.  Doors open at 6 pm and the meeting gets underway from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Constituents are invited to bring their questions. The format will include an open question and answer period for the public.
