On Saturday, May 14, Bancroft Gems Gymnastics held their third annual Gym-fest for all the young athletes to showcase what they have learned this past year in front of family and friends. The day started with the littlest gymnasts and dancers performing and ended with the highest level competitors flying through the air. So far this year, the Bancroft Gems have sent a team to three competitions, with one more scheduled for the end of this month. The girls did well this year. Twelve girls brought home 76 medals from the competitions. In addition, two seven- and eight-year-olds who competed for their first time last month brought home eight medal stickers on their certificates. All in all, Gym-fest was a great show to take in, and all the kids were so proud to show off their shiny new medals. Photos by Melissa Armstrong
