<content-encoded>
To the Editor,

I noticed in the current issue of Bancroft This Week, in Tony Pearson's commentary titled “Money Down the Drain” that I was cited as a “consultant.” While I was a professional engineering consultant prior to retiring from active practice at the end of 2014, my efforts on behalf of the Town of Bancroft in attempting to identify causes of problems with the town's water and wastewater systems are purely on a voluntary basis, without any form of compensation as a hired consultant. I raise this issue to avoid any misconception by your readers on my status in assisting the town.

Thank you for noting this clarification.

Sincerely,
