Another successful season for the Switch Yard BHHL

On Monday, July 18, the Switch Yard wrapped up its second season of Switch Yard Ball Hockey House League.
The league operated on Monday nights from May 9 to July 18 at North Hastings Community Center. Approximately 150 participants born between 2000-09 registered and were split up into three divisions. Over nine weeks, each participant and their teams battled hard for their shot at the gold medal game on the final night.
Congratulations go out to Team Blue of the Junior Division, Team Blue of the Intermediate Division, and Team Orange of the Senior Division for becoming the gold medal champions.
Many thanks go out to our league sponsors; Boyer Auto Group and Gaebel Insurance, as well as Pepin’s No Frills, for donating the championship medals. Also, thanks goes to Freymond Lumber for donating the barriers, and Ron and Steve at North Hastings Community Center for all of their hard work.
Finally, from everyone at the Switch Yard, we want to say a huge thanks to all of the dedicated volunteers who generously gave of their time to coach or referee. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
