North Hastings Community Trust is moving down Bridge Street to a larger location and it’s hoping the community can help.
Hastings Highlands has chosen its grant recipients for 2018.
The province has announced its Celebrate Ontario 2018 funding for more than 300 festivals and events. Nearly 200 of those chosen are from rural and northern areas, according to the province.
The Ontario by Bike Network rolled into Bancroft March 6 and conducted a workshop with nearly 50 local small business and service persons to assist them to be more prepared to welcome cycle tourists.
The idea of a union library isn’t new to North Hastings municipalities, according to Southern Ontario Library Service library development consultant Peggy Malcolm. She’s worked in the area since 1996.
Two North Hastings natives found themselves sitting together in Nicaragua. They’d travelled there with the same circle of friends for a holiday.
