Man charged with over 80

During the late afternoon on March 10, police officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle on Highway 62, just south of the town of Bancroft. While dealing with the driver, police had grounds to believe that the driver had been consuming alcohol.  The driver provided a breath sample and failed.
The driver was arrested and brought back to the Bancroft OPP detachment, where he provided a breath sample to a qualified intoxilizer breath technician.
Charged with operating a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 mls of blood is a 68-year-old man of Bancroft.  He was released on a promise to appear notice with a first appearance date March 22 in Bancroft Criminal Court.
