Suspect in Wilno shooting in custody

A 57-year-old suspect in the shooting on Szczipior Road in Wilno that left one individual dead was apprehended by Ottawa Police west of the city. Sgt. Kristine Rae confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody and was believed to be heading for Ottawa. Residents of the small community were advised to remain secure in their homes and report any suspicious activity, and all of the schools in the area where the shooting occurred were under lockdown. All lockdowns have since been lifted.
