Wollaston’s reeve returns to council

December 7, 2016

Wollaston Reeve Graham Blair has returned to Wollaston council.

Blair returned from his leave of absence to chair Wollaston’s Nov. 22 council meeting. He said later in a statement he intends to chair future meetings.

“I intend to chair future meetings but will do so or not as advised by the health care professionals I have been consulting,” said Blair. “As you know, Wollaston’s council consists of five members — reeve deputy reeve and three councillors. I feel that our constituents deserve full representation where possible. In addition, there are some important issues at hand initiating discussions that I feel the need to be a part of.”

Blair took a leave of absence following drinking and driving charges in early October. Both cases remain in court. None of the charges have been proven.
